Did you know that Concord, New Hampshire is a muse-infested hotbed for graphic expression, free-form technological innovation, mind-bending musicianship, puzzling performance art and psychic poetry? If you answered no, then you certainly aren’t alone. If you answered yes, then you might be a member of Concord Media Makers.

After meeting monthly for the past few years, the members of our local Media Makers group are now conspiring to unveil one of the Granite State’s biggest secrets, the rampart creativity of our Capitol City. Work in Progress is their inaugural public event with showcases, demonstrations, performances and more featuring the work of artists throughout the capitol region and beyond.

Over the course of the event, attendees will be able to meet with the artists and experience samples their work (some of the artists will have pieces available for purchase). Two producers will be on hand with clips from the upcoming films The Priest and Granite Orpheus. Performers include sleight-of-hand artist Andrew Pinard, comedian Greg Boggis, the In The Field Irish Dancers, Kelsey Erickson (as The Silverman living statue), musicians Steve Zeldow, Carl Beverly, Erik Hodges, and the band Mavara. Novelist Lee Richmond will be there as well as artist Gloria Najecki (Gloria Paints Dogs), wood engraver/printmaker R. P. Hale, photographer Bill Whitman, and comic book artist/writer Michael Mitchell (Mitchell Comics).
